Skincare Tips for Normal Skin

If you are blessed with normal skin, there are a few do's and don'ts to keep your skin healthy, young, and fresh.

  • Do stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water.
  • Cleanse and tone your face twice daily - don't scrub. Scrubbing strips your skin of natural moisture and causes irritation. Always cleanse off make up at night. Don't sleep in it!
  • Moisturize daily.
  • Exfoliate regularly.
  • Wear sun protection - at least an SPF 15 or higher... Every day, even in the Winter.
  • Maintain a healthy diet with lots of fruits and veggies. Stay away from junk food.
  • Limit your intake of caffeine and alcohol. These substances are known to dehydrate.
  • Don't smoke. The toxins in cigarettes depletes the collagen in your skin. It also causes the blood vessels in the top layers of the skin to constrict, thus thickening and reducing the oxygen levels in the blood.
