What is Your Skin Type

Believe it or not, many people aren't really sure what type of skin they have. A lot of times these people use the wrong types of products for their true skin type. If you have dry skin and use products more suited for combination or oily skin, the dry condition is going to get worse, etc. You get the idea. Use this handy guide to help you recognize your true skin type.

Dry Skin

  • T-Zone and cheeks are dry
  • Sensitivity to sun and cold
  • Fine pores
  • Skin appears taut, fragile, and dull
  • Occasional flaking, especially on cheeks
  • Little problems with blemishes
  • Lines appear early around lips and forehead

Oily Skin

  • Skin has oily sheen, especially in the T-Zone
  • Tans easily and doesn't burn
  • Frequent acne blemishes
  • Large pores, especially in nose, chin, and cheeks

Normal Skin

  • Skin appears soft and supple
  • Not overly sensitive to the sun
  • Few to no blemishes
  • Uniform skin texture and pigmentation
  • No oily sheen or dry spots

Oily-Normal Combination Skin

  • T-Zone is oily, with normal skin across the cheeks, which are usually blemish free, soft, and supple

Normal-Dry Combination Skin

  • Normal skin in T-Zone
  • Skin on cheeks is dry
  • Blemishes and excess oil are not a problem

Oily-Dry Combination Skin

  • T-Zone is oily
  • Cheeks are dry, taut, and blemish-free
  • Skin feels soft and supple
